Tiffany Haddish was born into poverty in one of the poorest neighborhoods in South Central Los Angeles. After her mother survived a car accident, she ended up with debilitating brain damage. Tiffany was always different from everyone else. She didn’t fit into any of her homes, nor did she fit into the all-white high school she attended. As an illiterate 9th grader, Tiffany tried to survive by doing anything she could. After a lot of jobs, she eventually realized that she had a talent for comedy. Tiffany faced the ‘normal’ obstacles of climbing the entertainment industry ladder – but had the added obstacles of sex, race, and class in her way too. She made it there. She’s humble, appreciative, grounded, and hilarious.
