Hutchinson spent most of the Trump presidency working in the Office of Legislative Affairs and eventually became the de facto chief of staff to White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, with whom she had an extremely close relationship. Her book details the events of January 6, 2021, as well as its aftermath, and highlights Hutchinson’s role as a key witness during the House Select Committee’s hearings on the attack on the U.S. Capitol.
